Haven't been on for awhile, was having alot of trouble with the cam freezing. Glad to see all is well at the nest but can't believe how big Foxy and Echo are. Alot of vocalizing today, seems there's alot of intruders about.

If this keeps up til the eaglets fledge and finally go off on their own, these poor eagle parents are going to be worn out!

I was also trying to find out when the stuffed toy was brought to the nest and is there a video of it? Seems to get moved around alot.

7:31pm.....Good evening all! Great captures today everyone! Interesting conversations today regarding a possible intruder last night. Priscillsh, Mom was definitely upset about something, as your video shows. I too have observed , a time when the parent got upset at night. It is amazing as I always thought most birds did not fly at night. But of course, some do, like owls. So I should not be surprised by an intruder in the dark! It has been a very windy day today in this area. It is really evident in the photos today. Right now Mom is sitting in the nest being alert and looking around. Wow, these adults really have to be at top form all the time!

Hello Jo and Tina!

8:03pm........Mom is hanging on to a branch. I can actually see her rocking her body back and forth as the tree moves in the wind. The wee ones are awake, then asleep. Typical kids..........they like to bop each other once in a while in between sleeps.

mjb - I hadn't thought about an owl. That's a good hypothesis. Tho we'll never know. It was hard to hear mom be so distressed.
