11:01am............Hey, they're back!! Both were in the nest at first then quickly one went up the lookout. I think it is Dad in the nest, and Mom up on the branch. (?) The one in the nest is moving those sticks again. This has to be Dad the builder!!

11:07am............Hello Fairydust and Pursuit! I also think eggs should come soon, but I have been saying that for a few days now! Pursuit, this nest is located in an area of private homes which back onto this lovely beach area. There is a lot of construction noise as I think there is lots of home building going on. It is quite normal for these birds to hear it and they don't seem bothered by it at all.

One eagle left on the lookout.........I guess Mom, but not sure. The other has gone. It is windy and wet today.

Hello from a friend of the abandoned Sydney nest now lurking in the background here at Whiterock and waiting patiently for Ma - whenever you're ready.

What's all that construction noise? Hope it's not something that's going to impinge on this wonderful eagle family. Does anyone know?

Thx.

Welcomepursuit to White Rock. Mom and Dad are quite use to the construction going on and are not bothered by it. Last season was the first year we had a cam on the nest.

Here's a link to a little of the history of this pair. Out WHITE ROCK EAGLE NEST INFO

I remember hearing workshop type noises last year. Day time work hours.

There is also a railroad track nearby and trains now and again. I've seen lights this year.

Please remember that eagles now nest in cities. Bald eagles in the Norfolk Botanical Garden which has had a web cam for several years. Last year Mom Norfolk, at least age 17, hit an airplane, at the adjoining Norfolk Airport, or was hit by one. Present count of possible new mates is 4. Dad Norfolk likes #3 quite well but he spent much of February and up to yesterday trying to get her to lay eggs, or we can call it much mating. #3 is about 4 years 11 months old. #4 is also of that age range. I don't know of any matings yet. This soap opera is in an area where there are many daily visitors, photographers and food, much, much food. Dad has got a great nest location. As the Nest Turns is quite the soap opera, ........ boon to increased eagle knowledge.

So, sweat not the small noise of a repair shop. & take a look over the edge of Delta 2 nest for a house.
