4-20-12 Marietta Red-tailed Hawk nest

Last year, one RTHA fledged from this nest.
They appear to be incubating eggs right now.

One in the nest, one perched over the nest.


While watching the RR nest, this Cooper's Hawk {I think} was soaring around.

My favorite nest. Just a great place to hang out and watch wildlife.
I park about 3/4 mile away from the nest and walk in.
Ma soars right past me and lands in the still somewhat flooded corn field.

After a few minutes in the field, Ma takes off and flies back to the nest tree.

Pa on the nest, Ma perched at upper right.


I spot a rather large and good looking Coyote running through a grassy field.

The Coyote stops to make sure that I am not following.
The locals tend to shoot Coyotes on sight in this area.

Pa flies to a nearby perch, poops and looks over at Ma.
He seems to think it is her turn on the nest.
