Sunrise over the North Cascades and Drayton Harbor from Semiahmoo.

This eagle was warming up with the first rays of sunlight.

This pair was perched near the nest on the hill just above the spit.

The eagle that just arrived doesn't stay long.
It flies out over Drayton Harbor on a hunting mission.

The other eagle watches from the perch.

The breakfast sortie was unsuccessful. The eagle flies right over me on its return flight.
