Ma takes off and flies over to one of their favorite perch trees which is about a half mile away.


Pa watches, and then follows.

Further west on the Red River rd., I find an adult and a juvenile sharing a tree.

The juvenile takes off and does a couple loops around the area.

The juvy comes back in for a landing near the adult.

The adult had a look of annoyance and disdain as the juvy picks a really skinny branch and has a hard time holding onto the perch.
Wings still flapping, the juvy side steps up the branch to where it is thick enough to support its weight.
