Sandy Point * 1-10-12

The next stop was Sandy Point to look for Snowy Owls.
This sub-adult eagle passed over.

I drove around to the other end of the horseshoe basin.
No Snowy Owls though one had been seen there earlier.

Hi Doug: Neat capture of the falcon under the tower. I think Iíve seen that coyote. If so, itís a real scrawny one that makes its home in the fields by the abandoned Horizon subdivision, just to the left at the top of the hill past the Blaine sign where you photographed the owl. Also, be on the lookout for thousands of Dunlins on the shoreline of Drayton Harbor as you make the turn to the east headed for California Creek. Well, it looks like our days of a clear blue sky will be on hold until the snow moves away. Letís hope the snowies will stay a bit longer.

First you must follow before you lead.
