Aug. 3 6:30a.m. Nobody home.

8:45a.m. Empty nest and tree - I do believe they have left the area.
Probably now I've said this the next time I look one or more may be there.

Saw 1 mature in a tree and one juvie at Halfmoon Bay near the general store.

4 Turkey vultures on the way to H. Bay. 3 more on the way back.

A new nest with two eaglets will tell you more this evening.Cheers

We saw this nest last November today when going by we saw two eaglets one on a branch and the other one wingercizing. Will go tomorrow and take a picture.l

Saw the nest you found recently Sandra.Clapping

In Sechelt village 2 separate bald eagles being chased by seagulls.....one flying towards Snickett Park, the other further along the highway towards the water.

Did not see Bluster or Ma and Pa today, it looks like they have gone.

Hi all

When I was coming home from Sechelt yesterday I passed the nest just north of Sechelt on the highway heading for Halfmoon Bay.

The nest is right in front of the new houses along the waterfront just below the "Great Wall of China".

As I passed by I saw one young eagle fly across the highway and there was another young one sitting on the edge of the nest.

Didn't have my camera - worse luck.

Will keep an eye out, although I expect they will head off for the salmon run with the rest of the eagles very soon.

Hello Nice greeting with our Stalashen adult and Davis Bay setting Sheryl! Left thumb up
Wonderful you saw our new juvies and the nest. cheers
Marg I wonder if the eagles you saw being chased by gulls were our new set of adults? Maybe they are even the eagles you have seen in Snicket Park?
And with that I want to add a fond farewell to our Stalashen family who appear to have hopefully left together this year. fingers crossed They have given much entertainment, education and a new hobby to this aging lady and brought friendships never before imagined built on a joint passion and their nest. Hi Everyone

I went to the Sechelt nest site. I was a bit off in my directions to everyone.

The nest is about 1/2 way between the new development just as you are leaving Sechelt and the first set of lights at Norwest Road.

The nest is just in front of the newest home being built right on the water.

When i got there between 5 and 5:50 tonight there were 2 eaglets and one adult in the nest. Here are some of the images I got.

I was thinking of the one on the left in this picture as "Ocean" becuase that is where (s)he is, and the one on the left at "Sunset" because (s)he seemed to be watching the sunset.

This is Sunset stretching her / his wings

This is also Sunset. It was hard to get a shot of Ocean because of trees being in the way.

It was an absolutely amazing hour!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the three of them from a slightly different angle.

As you can see the two eaglets are partially hidden by the branches.

These are of Sunset again. You can just see the parent in about the middle of the picture

Here are some more of Sunset.

(S)he did this wing stretch and flap about 4 times in the 50 minutes I was there.

Also, unlike Charlie and Delta at the White Rock nest when the wing stretch happened (s)he posed for some second with the wings outstretched so it was easier to get a clear image.
