Hi Marg

Haven't managed to get to Davis Bay yet this week.

I have been watching the White Rock nest online and from yesterday morning at about 8 am to this morning at 7:30 there has been no actvity at the nest.

Perhaps they are getting ready to leave or have left already, although while I was watching on the close up cam yesterday afternoon, I did see eagles still flying around on the beach.

Hello Glad you heard them Marg. It's interesting how they get more and more elusive before leaving.

eta When I first posted this it showed up with 2 jpegs of kittens that are not mine! Don't Know I've deleted them but if either of you have lost them because of posting at the same time perhaps, I apologize. It Wasn't Me

Wooh What an eagle sighting day we have had! One parent was at the beach, I'm sure it was Bluster who flew over at the beach, AND we found you a new Sechelt nest with 2 eaglets, one in the nest when we visited.
Am starting with the load of pictures now. This could take the rest of the day. LOL

Hello Our time at Davis Bay started at 11:30 when we arrived to find a very low tide. Very Happy We walked out from the walkway there, down the stairs, to see if any eagles might be sitting among the geese at the opening of the creek. Nope. On our way back towards shore we spied an adult sitting toward the top of the beach, below the park, west side of & beside the creek. We had no idea s(he) was feeding on a huge piece of salmon. As we approached s(he) flew away at a much farther distance from us than I would have thought. S(he) flew to the other side of the creek with a good salmon chunk in talons. On examining it after the fact, it was beheaded so possibly the chunk was the head?
