Eagle in the nest is certainly sitting higher than usual! David and I laughed at the mess on the road as we passed by.Titter

waveMarg, I finally made some time this morning to check on the various nests on dedicated threads. We returned to Victoria a week ago and I'm still trying to catch up with all the activities on the many dedicated threads. I took over 2,000 pics on our cruise to the Sea of Cortez and the Mexican Riviera; I'll be working on them for the next monthRoll eyes I hope you and Earl had a great time on your holiday; if I remember correctly, you went to Edmonton to visit family:question:

You are getting some fantastic video footage with your telescopeLeft thumb up I'm assuming the immature in the tree with the 2 adults was their offspring from last season. What a lovely family portraitLeft thumb up The dead snake would be a good meal for the eaglesNodding I hope you have lots of eaglets to watch and photograph this season. That Stalashen nest doesn't look very big in your picsRoll eyes

Hi Kay, glad you had a great time on your cruise 2,000 pictures WOW!:blink:Clapping that will take a while to sort through!Nodding Looking forward to seeing them. Yes, Earl and I had a wonderful time seeing the family, our grandchildren have grown a lot since the last time we saw them. The "family portrait" is of other eagles not the Stalashen Nest eagles. The 3 were in a tree not far from our house, but we haven't seen a nest there Puzzled it must be close by though.

We have so many nests to check on in the forum it's hard to find enough time.Nodding

Stalashen Nest.

Earlier this morning, we saw an eaglet in the nest, previously we have seen a tiny little head!Clapping Through a telescope it isn't easy to see. I have circled where the little eaglet is - we will keep watching and hope to see another there.Nodding I changed the colour so that you would be able to see it easier. Sandra, we will have to go down there with your new camera.NoddingGrin

Excellent says David and I agree. We drove by the nest today. Both adults were in the nest tree very near the nest which I took as a good sign at there possibly being an eaglet in there. Didn't take my camera with me as we were on a mission into Secehlt. I'll have to take it every trip in I guess. lol

Re: Stalashen Nest.

We knew there was an eaglet/eaglets by the behaviour of the eagles. We seldom see no eagle present either in the nest or in the tree, occasionally, they are both absent but only for a short time.

I watched 2 crows harassing the eagle this morning.
