Sandra, wonderful photos of the juviesClapping I love the way they look when they are transitioning into adulthood.

Marg, lovely photos and videos of the eagles with the moon beside the treeCheers I heard the gunshots in your video; I hope the eagles don't ever get too close to the firing rangeOh My

Hello Good to see you here again Kay and Tina. Right thumb up Thanks once again for the encouraging comments. The angle of the sun on our juvie certainly showed the fine colouring hues we often miss. Grin

Hi Kay and Tina it's nice to see you stop by our thread.Hello Both Sandra and I had a very nice day Sunday although separately. I enjoyed visiting the nest as I heard a lot of calling from Ma and Pa and managed to get it on video.Grin Kay, the gun range is quite a few blocks from where the nest is, hopefully no eagles get close to it though. We have a foggy day here in Davis Bay today.Sad

Yes, it was a couple of blocks away near Laurel Ave and Chapman. We often see eagles perched on that snag tree.

10:55a.m. the Stalashen Nest tree is just "a blaze of sunshine" right nowSmile and I cannot see anything.Sad

Hello

Did see another eagle in a tree a few blocks from us towards the highway this afternoon - picture coming.

We also saw two eagles soaring in a thermal along with some seagulls.

Hello I've been meaning to mention here that on Mon at about 1:15 we drove under the nest to find both Ma and Pa in the tree. It was drizzly so no stop with the camera but there are obviously more sticks building up on the corner right under the nest so I'm assuming they are busy busy rebuilding and not just dropping sticks. Laugh David's first time seeing them both together this fall and happy with that. Sitting eagleSitting eagle
