Nest is empty. I think they've built up the walls around the nest cup - not easy to see the egg.
One of the adults arrived back a moment later - unfortunately I don't know who is who, so am not sure if this is Mom or Dad. Whoever it is, they appeared to roll the egg and/or fluff up the nest bowl before settling in to incubate.

Up and likely rolling the egg, then nestled in.

I've been watching some brooding and have seen the nest empty briefly from time - and suspected there might have been a switch away from the nest. But I haven't focused on them enough to know who is who.

Both are on the nest now - didn't notice the second one arrive so don't know if there was a switch - but nice to see them both!

Getting a bit snowy - but I know this pair is used to that, and will do just fine keeping their egg warm and dry.

Looks like a heavy wet snow; hard to tell.

Mom looks at her egg, rolls and changes position.

2:57 pm,
Mom takes a break.

3:04 pm,
Short break and she's back. Mom was not away from the egg long at all.

4:16 pm,
Rolled the egg.


4:22 pm,
Left the nest.
