Mary thank you for clarifying what caused the spat and the blood. Glad you had the snaps to show the sequence of events.

A quick visit by Dad the day after Christmas. He brought 2 little sticks and then took the larger one with him when he left.

Yes - Thank you, MaryF. Obviously a food fight.
Wooh
Certainly do appreciate that you share your Decorah nest wisdom with us! Again, thank you. Grin

OT: My sincere interest in the nest not only has to do with the eagles themselves but also the fact that some of my maternal ancestors were removed from Wisconsin to IowaI in 1840. The town is named for the Decorah Family. The Decorahs were Thunderbird Clan.

Cal04 I too have a connection to this area. I had a friend who attended Luther College and one of my college friends grew up there. So I visited several times....a long time ago and all I remember is that I liked Iowa as well as southern Minn.

It is really good to see the bright sunshine on the nest this morning. Hope they visit today.

Just took a peek and yes, it is nice to see sunshine on the nest. A few snowflakes falling.

Hello Cal and Donna...nice to hear about your interest in the Decorah nest.!! Cal..my great, great grandma was a Cherokee. She was not removed but was allowed to stay in North Carolina....I guess because she was married to my great, great grandfather. Donna...My oldest granddaughter goes to the University of Iowa...hence my connection with Iowa...that and being originally from the Mid-West.

I didn't see any visits to the nest today!
