Where are all of you?
With the craziness of the weather around the country, it is worrisome ... I am hopeful that all of you are safe and well!!

We had another big weather front go through the region yesterday evening into the early morning hours. It was pretty scary. There were 60 mph winds ... Our outdoor furniture is all over the yard, and there are branches down everyplace. (On top of the ones that were already out there from the ice storm...) Our power went out again, but is back on this morning .... Many in our area are again without power, after just being restored yesterday after 5 days of not having any .... We are thankful that none of the huge trees around our home fell on it like some are experiencing .... The ground is so saturated, that trees simply are uprooting and falling over ... Pete was hiding under our bed during the storm, and BobCat was snuggled up next to me on the bed all night long ... poor critters were not sure what all that howling and thumping was about outside ....

Oh Cindy~~~Your two latest posts sounds just horrible. We've had some weird weather this winter, but nothing like what you've just been through. We had some snow and then one night we had thunder and lightening. Then our temperatures have been up & down, up & down. That's got to be pretty frightening to think that the trees have lost a grip on the earth because of so much water. It sure wouldn't take much to up root them. I sure hope things are improving for you. You'll have to post some pictures for sure. Oh yeah, and don't forget BobCat & Pete.

I have been struggling with a cold for the past 12 days. Weird part is that it wasn't really that bad of a cold, but I somehow developed some pleurisy with it. It only hurts when I cough. I'm thinking it should be getting better pretty soon.

I suppose I had better get back to work. Wishing Everyone a happy and safe day.

EVERYONE!!!!!

CINDY~~~~~~SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT ALL OF YOUR BAD WEATHER AND POWER OUTAGES.

WE HAD SOME HORRIBLE WINDS AND RAIN IN THE BEGINNING OF DECEMBER. IT BLEW HALF OF MY ROOF OFF!! HAD TO HAVE IT TARPED TO SAVE THE INSIDE OF THE HOUSE UNTIL WE COULD GET ROOF CONTRACTORS OUT TO GIVE ESTIMATES. ALSO HAD A PROBLEM WITH INSURANCE ADJUSTER!! WE WONDERED WHY IT TOOK SO LONG FOR HIM TO GET BACK TO US~~~~~~BECAUSE HE WAS FIRED!!!! THEN WE GOT A NICE ADJUSTER AND SHE GOT IT DONE IN A FEW DAYS AND GOT OUR CHECKS MAILED TO US. NOOOOOOOOOOOOW WE JUST HAVE TO WAIT TILL THE ROOFING CONTRACTOR CAN GET HIS CREW OUT.......MAYBE A COUPLE OF WEEKS MORE. WE ALSO HAD POWER OUT FOR DAYS......LUCKILY WE DO HAVE A GENERATOR, SO WE DID PRETTY WELL THOUGH IT.

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT IT SCARING THE ANIMALS. COOKIE IS TERRIFIED OF THUNDER AND LIGHTNING. SHE IS ALMOST INCONSOLABLE. GOTTA HOLD HER TIGHT TILL IT STOPS!

SOME ANIMAL THOUGHTS!!!!

A husband and wife are shopping in their local Wal-Mart.

The husband picks up a case of Miller Lite and puts it in their cart.

'What do you think you're doing?' asks the wife.

'They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans', he replies.

'Put them back, it's a waste of money', demands the wife, and so they carry on shopping. A few aisles further on along, the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket. What do you think you're doing?' asks the husband.

'It's my face cream. It makes me look beautiful,' replies the wife.

Her husband retorts: 'So does 24 cans of Miller Lite and it's half the price.
