Elaine ~ Like your photo of the turkey visitors We don't get large groupings of any large bird around here....we do get large groups of quail at our place east of the mountains....love all those little 'bobb-ly' things on their heads....

Jan ~ I don't know how you stayed awake for the entire opening ceremony either....I was nearly on the couch, so before all of the athletes even made it into the stadium....I've seen several things on the news since, so feel like I've seen all the highlights now.....

Off to work, but thought I would leave you with some photos of the fur-kids....a couple of Pete, and a couple of BobCat .... still learning with the camera, but they are always :blink: fairly decent subjects .... if I can catch them in a 'down' mode....

Elaine, I should not be laffin' - but the video of the fellow being 'bit by the bird' is hilarious! Oh ya, and I'd probably swallow my tongue if I looked out the window and saw wild turkeys! How lovely to have them in your area.

Also, I don't think I would have stayed awake for the whole opening ceremony, however, I have started a new quilting project - it's a quilt by McKenna Ryan - check out her website. It's the barnyard one. I managed to put together the whole first block - and if it hadn't been for that, I would not have watched the whole ceremony. Gotta keep my mind bizzy, bizzy, or I'd go nutz! :blink:

Cindy - thanks for the uplifting pics of your fur-critters. They are so lovely, both of them. Pete just looks so darned 'wise'... and Bobcat so 'knowing'.

Quite honestly, you and your hubby must be kept on your toes to keep up with them!

Foggy here today. Little traffic on the commute - and those that were out there were driving very, very slowly.

Cindy~~~Really nice pictures. I see Pete is all decked out with a new scarf. How in the world do you get him to look away when you're taking the picture? Every time I get the camera out they seem to watch my every move. Then I get that flash right in their eyes. BobCat looks like a statue in that last picture. I love the way his tail curls around him. Those two are so sweet.

Jan~~~Well, those turkeys are pretty interesting to watch when they come from the woods. They follow each other right in a row until they get to the corn. Can't help but wonder how they decide who the leader will be. I bet when you retire you'll just be quilting away, but you had better visit us often. I think I would like to get back to crocheting when I retire. And of course planting more flowers and such. Then in the winter I want to sit back and watch the birdies.
