Well done Scott, especially in that horrible weather! How did you keep your camera dry?

Thank you Linda, Nanc, Anna, Christian, & Tina for the nice comments.
I keep the camera dry by putting it in a large clear plastic bag Christian. A couple of elastics around the lens hood holds it in place. I can still read and change all the settings and see fairly well through the view finder, but must rely on auto focus.

muddy: I love the head shot of the eagle peeking over the mossy branch. :thumrht: We have had lots and lots of rain over here on the island, too. Expect a bit of sun tomorrow.

wave Iona & elle. Thank you for dropping by. Smile
The sun didn't make it out today elle, but at least it wasn't raining.
The kid had an appointment this afternoon and I decided to take the camera along and take a leisurely route home once she was finished.
On the way we spotted at least a dozen eagles, and many more on the drive home.
This is one of the new to me nests that I discovered a couple of months ago. I'm not by here often, but the adults seem to be spending more time here now.

This juvenile was soaring overhead. The landfill is across the road and when I zoomed in could see at least a dozen eagles perched in the area.
Unfortunately I don't have permission to go there to take pics.

Half a block farther along the same road a pair of eagles were perched in a favorite tree.
