Wow Scott, you saw a lot of eagles on your last outing. Great photos Right thumb up I love seeing the sub-adults; they always have such different blends of colouring Nodding

Hey Scott Love the trip you had. The different stages were great. Could really see the different coloring. Thanks for taking us along. Glad you met more eagle lovers, & watch out for the cougars. Wub

Hi Kay, gemini, & Iona Smile Thank you for dropping in.
This is a great time of year to see so many younger eagles with the various patterns and shades of brown or black. It's also pretty cool when you hear them calling out and they don't have the older eagle's voice yet. I ran into several of those today.
Thank you for the link to David's interview from last year gemini.

I received a phone call from a friend earlier today saying she had 20 eagles perched in the trees behind her place. Unfortunately I wasn't able to have a look at that time but did make it to her place a few hours later. By the time I could go, the sun had come out so things worked out fairly well.
No eagles near the Prest Rd or their secondary nest.
These 3 were perched in a popular spot a couple of blocks down the road.

No eagles around the eagle field so I continued on to the new nest on Patterson Rd.
One adult perched above the nest.

I thought there would be more eagles around but could only see the one adult, and a juvenile perched farther down the road.

As I was taking pics of the juvie, I heard calling out behind me and turned to see the other adult had landed above the nest.

Walking in the direction the juvie was perched and checking the trees along the creek, I spotted another juvenile.
I could hear others calling out in their not quite adult voices but couldn't spot them due to all the trees.

Nearing the area of the juvie I had originally seen I could now see a few more eagles.

Heading back towards the nest I spotted this one perched low and over the road.
The other one I had been taking pics of earlier was higher up in the next tree and I had missed seeing the closer one at that time. I was surprised it didn't fly off either time I walked by.

Walking back to my car I had to walk under the other newly arrived adult.
