Scott,
I finally had time to sit down and make my way through your thread. Hello

You take great pics, my friend! Titter I'ld like to know how you manage to focus on your subjects in motion so well. Don't Know

Do you have a burst-mode that let's you shoot rapidly, and you get one or two great ones? Puzzled

Or, are you just that good you take one shot and it's perfect? Chin

However you do it, you do it well! Thank You

I really MUST come and visit more often. Thanks, Scott for the beautiful shots.

I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

Hi Annie, Debs, LiLori, Lance, & Terry. wave
Thanks for dropping in and for the nice comments. Smile
Lance, I always keep the camera set to take multiple pics. My lens is pretty good for focusing on moving subjects most of the time, especially if I have the general distance already set.
It depends how fast the subject is moving & how fast I can find it, plus a great deal of luck. Titter
I had these ready to post on Saturday when HWF booted me and I couldn't get back on til now.
The sky was half blue so I went for a short drive later in the afternoon (Saturday). Drove by the Far Away nest but couldn't see any eagles perched there.
As I got near the Prest Rd. nest I could see an adult perched on the far side. The 2nd adult was there as well hidden amongst the branches.

The "hidden" one flew off a few minutes later. I watched it circle and then head towards their secondary nest which can be seen from this nest.

It was flying lower, then was hidden by a house. As it appeared on the other side it swooped down into the field after something. It must have missed as I could see it perched & preening near the nest they used this year.

This Heron was in a field as I headed to the Panorama nest. No eagles there today.

I could see an adult perched near the nest tree as I got close to the Yale Rd. nest.

It flew off after a few minutes with a small bird in pursuit.

I hoped it was just moving to another perch that they use so headed in that direction and spotted it with Mt. Cheam in the background.
