Good Morning My Friend,

What a outing you had, see all the beautiful wildlife and action of the hawk and eagle. You look to live in a very natural setting background being the beautiful Mt Cheam. Thanks so much for bringing your beautiful wildlife to us. I'm really enjoying your new thread and wildlife photos Scott. Great Job!Left thumb up

Scott, your pics are so good. It was so neat to see the RT dive bombing, they just get their wings right tucked in there don't they. He he, I wonder what he spotted. So lovely to see both of the eagles in the tree. Cloudless blue sky day by the looks of it. Nice heron pics, woody, cute ducky pair and wow that's a lot of seagulls. Great soaring eagles. I wonder if the juvie was one of theirs? I don't know what that Rt was thinking messing with the eagle. Nice pics of the action. Hey, your 2nd Kingfisher! Neat seeing the big moon over the mountain.

woooooooohooooooooooo Scott to your latest outing! Loved the whole thing but without question my fav was the RT in the dive. I have to tell you the weirdest thing. I was here last night looking at your shots and was amazed by that, now what do you think I seen this aft??? Right!!! I couldn't believe it and didn't get a shot either. Thanks for getting yours and sharing it with us Wub

I would rather spend my life close to the birds than wishing I had wings

Hi Linda, LiLori, & Lori. Smile

Glad you're enjoying the pics. It's always fun getting them and nice to be able to share.
Cool that you at least saw the RT today Lori. Smile
You would have loved being here today. Lots of RT's out and about today along with an eagle or two. Nodding

I went for a drive today to see if I could find a new nest I spotted while walking on the dike the last time I was out. I stopped by some of the regular nests first.
When I got near the Prest Rd. nest I could see an adult perched near the nest. My main problem today was the lens focusing on the branches near the eagles and what I think is clear when I focus manually isn't all that clear. Whistling

I finally noticed the second adult among the branches.

As I was on my way to the next nest, I spotted an eagle atop a fir tree in the middle of a farmer's field. I spoke with him last year and he said I could walk back there anytime.
I always try to make sure the lens is prefocused a little by zooming in on something at about the same distance whatever I'm shooting is at. I couldn't see the eagle yet so focused on a different tree. This hawk happened to be perched there. A nice surprise.

I was still a little ways from the eagle, but when I came into the open field from behind the trees it didn't waste any time in leaving.

As I was getting into my car I noticed the RT Hawk soaring over a field across the road.
