Hi all SV fans. The times may still be daylight savings times.

The eagles were busy this morning from 9 to 10 while I was snoozing. They have done a lot of nestorating. The fence is much higher and the nest looks cleaner. The fence at 6 is getting almost too high.....

At 8:40 there were 3 smaller birds in the nest. It is hard from the stills to tell if the eagles were bringing in sticks but I think they were. They were in and out of the nest and quite busy.

Then the eagles arrived a bit later

They appear to be moving sticks and cleaning up.

After this one eagle flew off and 3 or 4 min later the other was also off.

It is another beautiful Indian Summer day at the nest. This nest is about 15 miles or so from the foothills to the west. It is near a river and ponds in an area that is farmed for sugar beets and other vegetables. It is all on private land and is not easily accessible. There are hawks and osprey in this area as well. I have not visited this site since it is on private land.....but the urge to do is very compelling.

It is near the site of a fort that served as a way station for miners, pony express riders, and trappers. The ST Vrain Xcel energy plant is named after this historic site.

We are due for some colder wetter weather from Mon to Thursday. We desperately need the rain in this area we have been exceedingly dry. I am off to enjoy this warm day and so happy to have the daily pix to check when I come in. Enjoy your day all you eagle lovers.

Hi everyone.

I just got home and checked out the daily pix. The eagles were at the nest at daybreak today. They were very busy for about an hour.

Here are a few pics.

Browsing through the pics I did not see them again. It has been a warm sunny day here. Tomorrow we could be wet and chilly. The front blows in this evening.

I WubRed Heart that too. I checked in to see the daily pix and the eagles were in and out of the nest. They were digging in the bowl and moving sticks. Pa looks so sturdy and strong as does Ma. Here are 3 pics but it would have been a good 2 1/2 hours of good live watching. And where was I.....at the grocery store...... we need an eagle beeper to tell us when they land on the nest!!!!
