Well I just got a chance to look in and its 8:25 and no one on the egg must be out for breakfast i hope I got very worried last night til I saw all your pictures

Nice pictures!

I'm thinking the chicks last year hatched a day apart or maybe less - which does suggest she doesn't start incubating full-time until the second egg is laid. The nest should protect the egg from the wind - and 50 degrees is well above freezing - so all should be fine. Smile

I've looked in a couple of times, and all looked peaceful.
