It is quieter here today. I have not seen the eagles on the stills at all nor as I am watching the cam.

It is partly cloudy and the temps are in the mid 50's. It is quite breezy. We are going to have temps drop into the 30's tomorrow with some snow.

Debs, good to have you check in. Our nests are sure pastoral and seem very peaceful.......sure hope the raccoons do not ruin that. I have not heard any more about the rascals.

Both eagles in the nest from 8:20 to 8:39.
Ma did some digging and stick moving. Pa was on and off the nest.

Jannice, that is a wonderful pic of Ma and Pa SV. She sure looks comfy on the egg cup.

3:40 Ma down on the soft bedding testing out the egg bowl. Pa is nearby.
3:48 Ma is alone on the nest and looking out over the field.
3:52 Both eagles off the nest.
4:02 both back in the nest.
4:11 Ma returns to the nest.
4:18 one in the nest.
4:23 the nest is empty.

It is snowing and sticking to the ground. It has turned much colder. The wind is blowing the snow in swirls.

Jan 20, 2011 Mid teens overnight with temps climbing into the high 30's by afternoon.

Quiet and cold morning at the nest. Not much snow there and lots of fresh bedding or old bedding moved about.

We have welcome news today......Phoebe, the hummingbird has 2 hatchlings, Bea and Jay. And Ma and Pa Blackwater have 3 eggs. That will be a busy nest this season.
