from 11:45 to 12:06 Pa is feasting while Ma moves up on the fence. Was hard to tell what she was doing but in later pics you can see she is also eating. Looks like a furry critter.

12:12 Ma is alone she continues to eat at the Riverside Cafe seated in the fence seating.

12:53 Ma continues to enjoy her lunch. The weather is going to be VERY cold.....maybe zero during the day tomorrow and we could get 5 to 10 inches of snow. The cold and snow are coming in from the north so the nest could have more cold and more snow. Would be good for them to have full crops for the next few days.

Hi DEBS glad you found them at home. This has been a long visit. The cam changes pics about every 2 mins here. I have not tried refreshing and may experiment to learn more.

1:11 The eagles have gone off to enjoy the rest of this warm, sunny day.

As I reviewed the pics, I did not notice food for ma near the fence at 10. She may have spotted that feast and left the nest to bring it in the nest to eat. I also noticed that after 1 she moved that big stick one more time.

Great pictures - thanks, Donna!

And I've been reminded that I did forget something when I gave blanket permission for people to take my s'caps to other forums - which is that it's always nice to mention who took the s'cap and where it was posted originally - which Jannice did when she posted at BCAW.

One should definitely get permission before using an "enhanced" picture (Ma and Pa with easter bonnets or whatever), and it is a nice thing to ask permission or let people know you're using or would like to use their s'cap. I always give credit when posting other people's s'caps or videos - and would probably contact them unless I knew from previous discussions that they were OK with their pictures being reposted.

And as I'm already way off-topic, I won't go into the legal ramifications of our Creative Commons license, other than to mention that by posting a s'cap here, you're giving permission for it to be posted on other non-commercial sites (like BCAW or the new Maine forum) as long as you are credited as the creator/author/whatever. And I probably should find a more appropriate place to post that information more clearly.

And don't be surprised if the off-topic parts of this post disappear in time. Smile

I am assuming that we would also in some way state that the pics are courtesy of the Xcel cams at SV. When they had Xcel Energy on the screen it was a given but now it is not there or is not there yet. Or does everyone know that and it is not necessary? Good point.

Thanks Judyb Grin for clarifying that guidelines for "snagging" someone else's scaps or pictures. I think it is always best to get permission first Nodding and to definitely give credit to the individual that captured the picture too.

We have undisturbed snow at the nest.
I watched off and on last evening but did not see the raccoon.

Not trouble, Jannice - a great opening to post a reminder as the new season begins and new folks join the discussion. My thanks to you and Debs for the opportunity to clarify things a bit! Left thumb up

And wonderful news that the raccoon was not back last night - I wasn't around in the evening so couldn't check.
