June 11, 2011 high 50's to low 80's today.

8:40 I am late today. However, Scout has either branched or is way out on the fence at 3. Glory is resting at 4.

8:48 The picture is the same. Scout may have branched 2 days before her 11th birthday. I would be and ,but sure have been expecting it. Will keep watching to be sure she is not out on the fence at 3.



As I remember eaglets come home quickly when food is brought to the nest.

I pulled the cam up at 8:40 and she was gone then I haven't seen hie nor feather of her yet I'm trying to keep an eye for her I'd like to get a pic of her coming or going for my scrape book.
And like you I'm not sure if I am more happy or sad about this

I think you were right on yesterday around 2 that she was branching then. I will be watching as I get things done here and hopefully one of us will catch the incoming flight of Miss Scout ST Vrain.

9:59 Well, whether on the fence at 3 or on a branch over or around 3 Scout has returned. Looked more like a fly down than getting off of the fence. But no way to tell for sure. Scout went right over to Glory and is now lying down next to him.

ok I have a question. What I saw was more from 3 and coming down. Do you suppose she went up again. She went to an entirely different spot and Glory was down at 9:59 so is this the second trip up to the branch and more around after 9:30?? I went out to pick spinach and put it in to soak to clean and missed from 10:05 to 10:35. We have a brancher for sure.....yippeeee!

Now isn't that nice and sweet of her to do that for us

12:57 Both at 12 discussing how to get up and/or out on a branch and where they plan to go soon. They have scattered the new hay at center nest. I can't help but notice how the fence is trashed at 1 and 2 and maybe at 10. They have been so energetic with their big wing hops.
