I stopped by the PNE nest about 2:45 p.m. on the 4th (looking for some sign of eaglet(s)) but saw nothing!! It looks like I just missed seeing at least a parent by a few minutes!! Martin Passchier's photo above sure looks like she/he is feeding a wee one, even if we can't see it! At least I hope so!

Dropped by the PNE nest after Strathcona today. The adult was sitting in the nest quietly. It was quite windy and but it was just tucked down in the nest. I'm not an expert, but I would say they are either still on eggs, or the eaglet(s) are still very young. It must be too late for eggs by now, so I guess they are late bloomers.

Dropped in on Ma PNE the other day to see if I could see her babe(S), however, she seemed more interested in showing off her petticoat than her offspring!

Bottoms up!!

Then her attention turned to the crow that was dive bombing the nest! First she screamed at it! Then she tried to frighten it and when that failed, went for duck and cover!

I don't know if urban Eagles pictures showed a bobble head or not, but I am going to assume there is a chick there based on the adult's behaviour.

I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

Hi Gemini, thanks for your kind words on the Pt.Moody nest and I'm glad I can contribute.
And I agree with Terrytvgal that the shot is a little poor, but the time I spent starring thru the lens I'm sure there was movment... Going to make the rounds tommorw. Hopefully someone will get Better confirmation.
