Great sequence of photos Larry! Glad you managed to arrive so close to "exchange" time! Thanks for sharing!

I did see one of the adults perched in a tree on McGill Street on Friday when I was headed to the Bus Depot to drop off a friend. The tree was just behind the horse racing stables about a half block away from the Renfrew/McGill light. He/She was still there about three quarters of an hour later on my return trip home. I know others have seen them perching in that spot but it is the first time I have seen one there. I the rain ever stops, I will head over there this week sine time.

Hello all,
I am new to the forum, has been bird watching for a while in the area I live Toronto-Ontario, will be visiting Vancouver in the coming week and want to see the eagle, I am not very familiar with the area, is this PNE nest near downtown? and if I want to take some pictures, what lens do I need to have? ( I respect the privacy of birds so I try to stay as far as I can and not disturbing them)

Thank you all for your tips and help in advanced. I am really looking forward to this as we don't have many pairs of Bald eagle in where I live, I have found a nest about 3 years ago, but the pair never went back for the 3rd time and the nest has been damaged.

wave Sharon, Thanks had Eagle luck that day! just wish it had been a little brighter out.
Cocosally Welcome All are local downtown Eagle's are sitting on egg's( hast.,Strath.,Lafarge,Vanier)and a total of 12 egg's on 5 of the Live Cam nest's)
Hast,Strath and Vanier do not have cam's so we don't know how many egg's in there nest's. All four of these nest are within 10Min. off Dowtown if that is where your staying. You are most assured to find an Eagle in there nestLeft thumb up After that it's wait and whatch.( egg roll, swap out ,wing strech) They should all be hatching soon next couple of weeks (but for the three without camera's the ground crew wont see eaglets till about 1 weeks old and are strong enough to show over the top of the nest)
As for Len's well,That's a hole diffrent story(price and pref.) From what I have come across in the feild, is that most have at least a 300mm.( or better)
Hope you have a wonderful visit and see all are local EaglesClapping Allways here to help a fellow Eagle whatcher.

One more from sunday

Hello Urban Eagle, Thanks for your tips as well, I am really enjoying my time here and went to this PNE nest yesterday. Since I only have a 200mm with converter, cannot see it clearly whether ma or pa in the nest, but for sure, one of them in the nest and the other was watching!! I cannot believe how close the nest is to all the traffic and houses! I wish I live in Vancouver.....so I can see them all year around!!!!

Friday at noon there was a juevy soaring above the nest. I think it was with the male because the eagle in the nest was clearly visible from the ground, i think the female is bigger. I still can't get over how quiet they are this year
