Ed, what wonderful photos from the Sequim nest!!! I love how the two parent perch right above the two eaglets. The eaglets are much younger then the ones I have been observing. The eagle parent flying towards the snow cover mountains is gorgeous my friend. Bravo

Hi Linda: We had great weather during the visit, and it’s very easy to observe activity in the nest. Of course, the eaglets really cooperated. Yes, this is the first time I’ve been able to observe very young eaglets.

Semiahmoo Spit, 6-19-12. Next stop are snag trees on the spit in hopes of an eagle with the sunset. No luck tonight but still a good sunset.

Semiahmoo Bay nest update, 6-24-12. Adult eagles always continue to be in trees overlooking nest, but once again no nest activity. Adult atop tree by nest shows great patience while being buzzed by crows.

Drayton Harbor nest, 6-24-12. One eaglet can be observed in the nest. Photo taken during low tide which is best time to see the nest behind all the leaves and vegetation.

Birch Bay nest, 6-25-12. Two eaglets in the nest, and one puts on a good show when we arrive by exercising its wings and jumping up and down in the nest. Conditions are overcast with light rain at times.
