Wow!!!! It's such a beautiful sight to see eagles at this nest again.

Congratulation JudyB. It sure is so exciting for all of you. I tried to post on the Maine forum, but forgot my password.
Please extend my congratulations for me. Red Heart I'll sure be watching. Very Happy

Mom was calling out. Dad responded by landing on the nest

They both looked towards the right. Mom continued talking

They were immediately successful in warning off whatever as Dad flew off in the other direction within a minute - or was she telling him "It's dinner time - I have laboured this day and I am hungry - food - now!" Roll eyes

Mom was calling and Dad came flying in from the near side of the nest. He began warning calls as soon as he landed

Mom partially stood up, body still covering egg. Dad moved up very close to her, putting his body between Mom and the possible intruder

Mom's head was down by Dad's feet. Either she pulled his foot up or he lifted it trying to shake her off as she had it in her beak

He then moved up to the back branch stayed there a minute. Flew off to the left

About 10 minutes later he was back. Perched on the back branch about a minute, left. Again flew in and perched about a minute and is now gone again. No food for Mom yet.

~6:46 am, Mom left the nest.

6: 55 am, Adult returned to the nest; landed on the right branch for a moment.
Down into the nest to roll the egg.

6:58 am, Adult still rolling the egg. Cannot be certain which adult came in because of the glare; think it is the male.
