We stopped in the road for a Quail family. First it was Dad with several babies, then Ma with more.
I was too slow with the camera to get any of them. Oops ... two more stragglers going full tilt to catch up.
These guys were tiny !!

There is a trail that runs along the lower Dungeness River. It is on private properties, but access is allowed.
It looks like there are a lot of good fishing holes. We only walked a mile or so. I don't know how long it is.
The section that we walked was along side an organic dairy farm.

Hi Kay * Yes, when we were there, Royal Creek was very fast moving, mostly shallow and very clear.
This trail bridge was just above where Royal Creek joins with the Dungeness River. It is a very beautiful area.
