Mud Bay > Boundary Bay Dike Trail * 2-7-12

About half way up the trail, I came across a gaggle of people. I knew that I had reached the SNOW zone.
It was cool to see some more SNOWs, but it was anti climactic for me due to the numbers of people.
There were also many photographers illegally off the trail. They were stalking , surrounding, and generally harassing the owls in their attempts to get a better shot.
Many of these, I think, were professionals, so it was about money for them, not about seeing these beautiful birds.
It felt a bit like being at a zoo.

At first, I thought this was a yawn. Later I determined that it was actually trying to expel a pellet.

A Northern Harrier cruises past, unnoticed by most of the owl observers.

I left the owls and continued up the trail to Boundary Bay Provincial Park.
This is a beautiful waterfront park.
