The only part that more than distresses me, is that they cut off the branches at 12 where Hope branched.

Doug wanted for us to see the house and flag waving. I think more than a few of us were concerned with the eye branch being chopped, and then they tossed out idea of placing the night vision where Phoe branched and made her way to the C/u cam. I thought it might be a great stepping stool, but I no nothing. I think they made the right choice and the climbers are safe.

Thank you Beans. I was out when all this was happening, so totally missed it. They are very brave. I would love to do something like that - willing - but as to being able, now that is another matter.

Yep ig, I'd have foresaken seeing Doug's house to be able to see another chicklet sitting on that branch. Oh well, I'm sure they'll find another nearby branch to branch on. Can't undo what's already been done.

I've only watched about 20 minutes of the video (so far) and did hear all the coughing and carrying on when he dug in the nest. You'd have thought that after last year, he'd come equippped with a gas mask for the task.

Kathyj, I'd never be able to get up there either :blink:. First, I'm terrified of heights (I won't even climb a regualr ladder) and the other being I'm afraid I'm not quite as agile as I used to be. (not to mention the gag factor )

Wonder if Pa was sitting in another tree somewhere watching all the activites in his nest? If he was, he was probably laughing thinking to himself 'silly humans, why didn't they just fly up there?'
