Good evening Hornby! wave

Thanks for keeping an eye on the nest today, Bev and Jill! Left thumb up

I've had the cam up since before it got dark...and not a peep, cheep, chirp, or trill have I heard from Ma or Pa. Of course it's been a little rainy all day, so maybe they're hiding out in some tree keeping dry.

Now that Raptorman has put the copyright info on the cam itself, as long as it's not cropped out, you don't have to go to the trouble of noting it in your posts. Grin Raptorman has been bizzy, bizzy, bizzy lately! Did you notice now under the chat box, there's also a link that shows which tree is which? And the fan page on FB for Hornby? Thanks Raptorman! Clapping

Good afternoon Hornby! wave

Looks (and sounds!) really windy at the nest today. From what I've been reading, they're expecting a storm to come in. Oh My

Someone on the ground said they spotted Ma and Pa in the babysitting tree, but a few minutes ago, Ma flew off to parts unknown, but Pa is still there. Clapping From listening to the wind, I hope he's hanging on! Ma's being a daredevil, I guess...taking off in this wind.

Just for the halibut (get it? halibut? Bad joke I know Titter ) thought I'd throw a s'cap of the nest in here. (mainly so I don't forget how to take them :p )

Good late night/very early morning Hornby! wave

I saw the announcement on Facebook, but my memory, ya know.Titter I guess a storm knocked the power out on Hornby.

Anyway, I thought this was a nice touch (especially for those of us that have a short memory Roll eyes ) when I turned on the cam just for the ambient sounds...and found this on the cam instead...

There's no wondering why the cam is down, and no panicky posts asking why...it's all there in black and white (OK, bright blue and white :p )

Thanks Raptorman for being so thoughtful! Left thumb up

Good morning Hornby! wave

Thanks for the heads up Jill! Grin

I've got the cam up, and it looks a little windy still, but the sun is out. I've also heard one of them trilling, but it sounds pretty far away. :dunno:

Since I've only seen them on the nest, in person once myself, I think it would come as a shock to actually see one fly in. Faint But I keep hoping! Titter

If you look closely at the Peters' tree, it looks like there might be an eagle or two in it. (see the white box)

3.15 on the nest. It is pretty windy today. Nightowl, I couldn't see eagles on the Peter's tree if my life depended on it! Sometimes I believe I can see something.... , but in my case there is too large a margin of error. Oh the shame

Wow...talk about a quick visit! Oh My

3:23PM Pa flew in from where I don't know...he just appeared in the nest from the right...picked up a few sticks, then flew to the 12 branch, then POOF! like that he flew off. Thanks for the visit Pa! Red Heart

ETA...

Hey Jill! :hello: If you look at my previous s'cap, then look at the one of Pa...notice no 'smudge' at the top of the Peters' tree? Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not, but I think that might have been an eagle up there. (hope ig is right and Doug finally finds a use for the IR cam...facing the Peters' Tree  )
