1:15, calls heard in the fog, hammering by people, I assume or a very persistant woodpecker

I finally had to turn the sound off for a bit. I have to find out if it's the eagles I'm hearing or if it's a gull sounding like an eagle. They do make a gull like sound at times or if it's some other bird outside somewhere, a juvie RTH. Going to find out. Getting foggier & foggier

wave Pat, Islandgal, Debs, Nightowl, Bev, and anyone else I may have missed.
2,15 Very quiet day at the Hornbys. Air Traffic Controllers must have given Ma and Pa a fog flight advisory! At 1.56 I heard trills very close by, and since a few in the distance. Our eagle friends are probably trying to locate each other in the muck. Help emo I will be in and out the remainder of the day.

Good late evening Hornby! wave

Hey Bev, Pat, Jill, and Debs! wave Thanks for the s'caps!

I only had a brief glimpse of the nest before I went to work, and couldn't believe the fog. Oh My Looked to be thick as pea soup, and I guess it didn't let up all day.

OK, something odd happened a little bit ago. I fell asleep with the cam on, and thought I heard trilling. Puzzled I looked at the clock, and it was 10:55PM, nest time. I figured I was hearing things and tried to go back to sleep, but couldn't, so I got up, decided to check the chat to see if I was really hearing what I thought I was hearing. Sure enough...at 10:54PM, it was reported in chat by Raptorman that Pa was trilling. It was also reported that people were hearing a fog horn. I don't know if one has to do with the other, but it's really odd to hear Ma or Pa at night.

11:19PM Pa's trilling again!

OK, now I"m really curious as to what's going on, but guess I'll have to wait till it gets light to maybe find out.

11:45PM More trilling, but this time it sounded like 2 eagles...and it didn't sound like they were stationary in a tree either. Could Ma and Pa be flying in the dark...and in the fog? Don't Know

Before I forget, has anyone noticed the new buttons below the cam on Ustream? Raptorman put a button for the weather and the tides on Hornby. Thanks Raptorman! Grin *ahem* if you scroll under the chat box, there's also a button that says 'shortbread'. I understand Raptorman likes shortbread. Titter
