Morning Nesters

I posted a nice long post last night and it went right into a black hole and never appeared here....and by then I was too frustrated to post again!! i awoke with a migraine this morning so had to take meds then return to the confines of a dark room and thank goodness with a good sleep it is better now

SJ So sorry to hear about your appointment I agree this appt was far too serious for them just to "forget" about it. Our healthcare system has gone to the dogs and this is proof of it....sending you some big ole hugaroos from all us here Well not to worry when they finally get their act together you will be "prepared" to receive the best of news yep yep yep!! Diana Your assessment of men and pain is spot on bang on but perhaps we should keep this information a secret I know when my hubby gets sick he acts like he is dying and that is even with a nosebleed or a cold and yep I saw many cases of it..."scareeed pants ititis " when I was nursing too so must be some truth to it hey Seriously though I hope the medication controls or manages your hubby's pain to you both. Hope your day at work flies by

John Yep the community is very excited about finally getting a tims and all the neighboring communities we serve are very excited too . Our town is the last "big" stop for services before you head north to Yellowknife or south to Edmonton so our community has alot of traffic heading both north and south so you can imagine the shared excitement by all . I will definitely be having a tims parteee when they open Sid looked so happy on the ice yesterday.....

Kay Well I can always dream hey...one of these days I will post some pictures of the hazardous access to some of the tims here....its enter at your own risk but us timmie fans always perserve we must have our tims after all Sounds like you had a great mini wuv all your scaps thank you for sharing them here! Debs, our number one anchor and Sports Reporter, we miss you at the Nest. Hope you have all Blackberry problems solved. In your case being without a phone is akin to being stranded in the desert without a car. You and hubby must have been frantic.!!

Bev, fantastic pictures, thank you, thank you! You will know, I don’t have the info now, the older lady in a very remote place of snow and ice that fed the eagles for so many years. Is she still there? I probably have the info somewhere in the desktop, but now accessible yet.

ED, it is very entertaining for us to listen to music from our old favorites. Oft time a sign of the times for each decade. Many poets and creativity in music when we were spring chickens. Las Vegas is really getting some oldies but goodies in concert. I haven’t acquired an appreciation for rap nor hip hop yet .

Kay, great s’caps you posted. Tis with rarity we see eagles in Texas. We did have a day of rain. Now all gone, and course not enough in a drought, but it DID help.

K12 one of the fledglings from the West End nest this year ....was recently spotted.....drum roll please.....yep in my neck of the woods woo hoo talk about doing the happy dance ........absolutely amazing so happy that K12 is doing well and to think that her first big adventure ....is a huge success absolutely amazing . I hope K12 falls in love with our country and decides to stay now that would be a purrfect gift yep yep yep!!

You are welcome.. they are wonderful videos of the eagles in BC... they will keep us from getting too lonesome for a while... we also have over 100 eagles that gather here every winter in Annapolis Valley, N. S.on the Sheffield Mills Farm...from late Nov. to early March..a large pile of chicken is laid out for them daily.... we never went down that way yet.. maybe this year.... here are two videos and there are more on the side ...

Bev for the fantastic videos I hope you will be able to visit the area and see all those eagles for yourself and I bet the boys would love it too. How far is if from Halifax? Sure sounds like you had a very productive day ...bet it feels good hey. My headache is finally improving....and not a moment too soon either yep yep yep.

Here is a snappy of A64 Spirit (M) Born 2008...one of K26 and K10 babies ...and he was one of the juvies that was attacked in the PH nest by a sub adult in May 2008 and then rescued by the IWS crew . A64 showed his strength and determination even back then....and he successfully fledged on July 1 2008. Our fantastic IWS crew captured this picture of him this past week and it is interesting that at 3.5 years old A64 already has the white head and white tail feathers....very interesting to see I expected to see the dirty head look not the nearly white head that we see in this beautiful capture of Spirit A64. It really shows us that the color change from sub adult to adult appearance can happen much sooner.


Thanks to our great IWS crew for capturing this beautiful photo of A64 Spirit he looks fantastic, healthy and strong and I am so glad he is back on the island!!

ETA Bev I would love to see K12 ...in my area....Dr. Sharpe did not say where she was spotted but I expect it was southern Alberta but I could be wrong....when Hubby and I went on our last adventure bird watching I thought I saw an orange marker on a juvie but I only got a quick peek with no time to snap a capture now that would be exciting if it was one of the Channel Island juvies that we spotted!! I am forever watching for them....because I know they have visited Canada before....must be our hospitality that keeps them coming to our great land !!
