Happy Saturday Nesters
It's nice to see so many greetings today, even though some are experiencing miserable weatherSad

Bev, I'll keep you updated on my cruise next spring. It looks like a nasty day in Halifax. I love your Nova Scotia tartan and the bed spread; it takes a lot of time and effort to make thinks like thathug I took a class many years ago to learn how to crochet but didn't enjoy it as much as I do knitting. I have been a knitter since I was a teen. My mother was always knitting and sewing, with 5 little girls in the house. I have knit many little baby outfits, sweathers for myself and my grandkids, vests & sweaters with heavy buffalo wool for the fishermen in my family, and baby afghans (knit on circulars). I just started knitting an afghan for my new granddaughter, and decided to do a soft rose colour rather than pink; I've already done pink and yellow ones. I have also done some needlepoint but don't seem to have the patience for it now. I want to be out and about in the nice weather visiting my feathered friends.

Judy/sj, it's wonderful that you are feeling so much better now and have been able to take up your knitting again. You are an inspiration to all of ushug Thanks for your cute pics of the animals and for sending the doggies out with Timmies and goodies.

Debs, I think you asked about free flightsOh My How I wish, but it's not me. You might be thinking about another one of our special forum membersWhistling

Diana, you are a special lady, always going in to work when others aren't able tohug I hope you get the rest of the weekend off. Thanks for sending the extra goodies.

John/ED, here's the link to the story on TSN about Taylor Fedun. It's always heart-wrenching when you see a bad hit that results in a serious or career ending injury. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=377169 My youngest son had his femur broken when he was playing soccer at age 16, and spent 7 weeks in traction, 6 more weeks in a 2-piece leg cast, then 6 more weeks in a leg brace. It was not an easy time for the family.

Have a great day Nesters

Thanks Kay for the link to that story on Taylor Fedun, the young hockey player trying to make the Oilers. I have always thought the icing rule must be changed but, until a 'star' is injured I guess the NHL won't do anything to improve it! Pity! Phhhht! Sad Rant Frustration
