Yesterday it was K18's six month birthday....of the Two Harbors nest...I never saw her yesterday but heard her very near the nest....but this morning she paid us a visit...screeping and calling for brekkie. K18 is a very beautiful juvie....and this is a very rare occurrence to have a juvie still visiting the nest at this age and so long post fledge...so every day we see her feels like a special gift.... enjoy.

Had problems getting on line.. thanks Debs for reporting it ... I am enjoying my Tea now... thanks for getting dogs on their way with the timmies.. Wonder why K18 is still around... did the parents migrate? i am concerned when it comes time for the parents to return to the nest and K 18 will still be on the nest.... she is a beautiful juvie.. i feel so sad for her.. is she is being fed ..

John Glad you liked the kitty cat greeting you know how we nesters wuv our cats I know that David is looking for an alternate nest to place a cam in...but no other family can replace our Ma and Pa Sidney .....but we will love any family he places a cam in...how could we not we eagleholics

Bev Glad you finally connected The WE and TH pairs do not migrate they have food a plenty in their areas so they do not need to migrate. Superman went on a vacation last September if you recall and then returned in January just before nesting season but as a rule the adults do not migrate and we have seen this pair recently teaching and mentoring K18 all along. Asolutely love your pictures thanks for sharing them....I love lighthouses too so especially like that one!

Thanks to everyone for the 9-11 tribute on the Nesters. This dreadful nightmare affected countries from all of the world. There were many nationalities of people, just going to work that day. Such a cowardly and evil act. If I may say.

I don’t suppose it practical to replace the old Garry Oak tree? We all so loved the tree, including the parents Maybe they would come back to it... Dream on...So thankful we will have a ground crew to report the dearest eagles in history.

Debs, how does it feel to be home and with hubby? Wonderful, I know. The collage on the Sidney Nest is beautiful and lots of work! Thank you so for doing it.

Bev, the views Agnes took of the lighthouse and the serenity of the water, so beautiful! Thank you for sharing. You now you have unconsciously tempted me to move that way. Very tempting indeed. Still hot, no rain and six fires yesterday around the area.

ED, I thought for sure I would be out for Fledge Fest this year. No such luck. Know you are upset since you attended every one of them. Hope they still continue in one form or another.

Debs, check email. Some idiot actually shot an eagle further out in East Texas. We don’t have many eagles here. No one saw the shooter. The eagle was shot in the wing. At this point, the prognosis is he will never be able to fly again. There is a huge fine for shooting an eagle here. I am trying to find some help for the caregiver. Raptor help for this wildlife lover lady.

Hi Nesters.. I had a busy day but it was wonderful..

Jude.. Wonderful to hear from you... you are one kind and caring lady ..yesterday was a nightmare all over again.. Love for you to move this way... we do have some not too nice winters... but they don't last long.. I am shocked that someone would shoot an eagle.. or any wildlife creature... how cruel is that... hope they find the person that did it and he /she is prosecuted to the full extent of the law.. Please keep us posted .

Lots of Nesters dropping by today. That is so great!

I am hoping that the Ground Crew can find an eagle nest in an area not too far from the previous one. Then if a cam was to be installed, we can adjust to viewing a new nest!
