periodically there are issues here with bees and humfeeders. multiple solutions are oft proffered, some more successful than others. The bees are attracted to the yellow flowers on red feeders, it seems, so some choose to paint the yellow parts red.

Hi There Nesters!!!

Summer is fast approaching the end. I can't believe Labor Day is just around the corner. It is still hotter than blazes here in the Southern California Desert. It is only supposed to reach 104 today. LOL Very little humidity makes it very tolerable.

Momma and Poppa Dove have two chicks that recently hatched in the nest, on the arbor, on our patio. Hubby devised a net under the nest so when they begin branching, hopefully they will land in the net as opposed to the ground, if they fall.

Jwinx... Hi... I have never had a problem with bees going for my hummer feeders. Maybe because my feeders are red only.

Bev...WOW, the hummer is a beauty. It sure is not easy catching pictures of those quick fliers. Have a super time away at Cape Breton for the family reunion. Reunions are sooooo much fun. Pretty flowers you sent Chip for her birthday. What are they?
