Afternoon Nesters

I had a nice chat with Jude on the phone this morning ...we shared lots of belly laughs and it was great just to shoot the breeze with such a good friend We have not chatted like that for quite some time it was wonderful to catch up on each other's news and of course we solved all the problems in the world too ....thats what good friends do doncha know

Anyway Jude and the Dew have been very busy so she has not had much time to post and she really needs a new computer hoping for a new Apple soon .... she cannot buy one there ... it means a special trip to the bright lights ... hopefully soon. Jude misses you all and she said be sure to give the Nesters all of my love and she really looks forward to perching again soon

SJ Hope you and Shelley enjoyed a mini adventure today .....its such great fun to go scooby doooooing together and perhaps enjoy a nice lunch or a special treat during your travels
Missing you here ..... sending you all our love along with lots of northern sunshine (minus the smoke ) along with some really big hugaroos
as you can never been squeezed too much

John Thanks for getting the doggies out this morning; I needed several cups to bump start my week Send us some of your weather....we could use some cooler weather here too suppose to be 30 C all week ... not the best weather for the fires here.

so lucky you never got caught taking that snappy ....the snappy police dont like yah taking pics in casino ...the snappy police is kinda like the smilie police they everywhere

Well Nester Buds I best get cracking around here ....I am way behind today ....oh well... roman was not built in a day...so I can certainly take my time

Geeze we now have 30 fires burning in the Upper Hay Region...... We need more rain!!

There are over 700 firefighters, 12 aircraft, 21 helicopters and various heavy equipment fighting these fires.

We have firefighters from across Alberta, Yukon, Ontario, Alaska, Parks Canada and New Brunswick here supporting local crews.

Good morning Bev & Debs and all my Nester friends. So many fires Debs.... I admire all those involved fighting them. Debs nice pics from your trip to the nest. Thank you for sending the dggies/treats.

Glad you like my sunset pics. Yes, I saw Pacer yesterday in the nest eating s/he is hardly ever in the nest, when I do see Pacer s/he is usually on a branch. We don't see Pacer very often - enjoying the wide blue yonder I guess. We do see eagles from our living room flying over or soaring. Looking forward to your pics Bev.

Sorry, I'm not a fan of A. Lambert Judy L. but glad you enjoyed the concert.

Judy, SJ do hope you and Shelley are having some nice outings.

Congrats Diana on being smoke-free for 3 months. You will soon be in BC to see your relatives and friends then up here to see Dikran & family, Earl and me. Let's hope we have .

Good afternoon Nesters

It's a dull breezy day here but I'm hoping for some this afternoon so I can go out and do some birding

I photographed this bird, which I think is a House Finch, in Saxe Pt. Park on July 4th. It sat there for a long time watching me and looking around.



Debs thanks for sending Roadie and the dogs out this morning; I just finished my 2nd cuppa Sorry to hear you got sunburned on your last outing Hope it didn't bother you too much. I use Solarcaine and it really helps take the pain away I looked at your pics on the NWT & NA Eagle Families thread; great captures of the adult flying into the nest I hope you will be able to visit the nest again before the eaglets leave the area. Glad to hear Jude is OK and keeping busy. I hope the fire situation in your area eases up and the air clears

Chip how exciting that you saw the raccoon family in your yard I used to have families of them walking along my back fence when I lived next to Saxe Pt. Park.

John I know what you mean about not being able to use your computer when you have company I have 2 spare bedrooms; one is used for the computer and 2nd TV, which also has a hide-a-bed for guests, and the other has a single bed for guests. It was the perfect arrangement when all 3 of my older granddaughters came to stay in the summer. It also worked out well when PatB came to stay last summer for FF; she ony needed a single bed and I still had my computer
