Mornin' all you Nesters
Feeling pretty good today. And the sunshine is beautiful on the River. The St. John River is the second longest in North America. It originates in Quebec - flows down through Maine, and forms part of the Maine/New Brunswick border from the the northwest of the province. It flows the length of New Brunswick down to the mouth at Saint John, where it empties into the Bay of Fundy - then the Atlantic Ocean. And yes - I do miss the salt sea air.
Just have to tell you about yesterday - when I saw 5 Eagles flying over the river for well over a half hour. They were circling fishing - one swooped down and caught a fish in his talons - and took it back to the nest across the river. Another must have already caught one, and was on the shore for quite a while. What a thrill! But no pictures.
But now - drum roll please - it's Timmies time.

Sun’s up in the swamp. And our rascally rooster Roadie - rubbing the sleep from his eyes - just crowed his morning COCK-A-DOODLE-DOOOOOO. So now, the whole barnyard is awake. He’s early to bed every night – draggin’ his wee blankie – just so he can be up bright and early – and head off with the doggies on their sled.
And now, after donning his woolies a quick Rooster hug, and off he goes, carrying his wee suitcase under his wing. Awwww – so cute he is.
So Wakey Wakey gang. Doggies all ready to be mushin’ ‘round the globe. Starting at the north pole, they’re headed for all our favorite Nesters. Their sled is always full of freshly perked Timmies and steaming brewed tea to bump start our day. It’s pipin' hot for all – with lots of muffins, donuts and goodies - and plenty of delicious Iced Capps and iced tea too for the afternoon.

Have a great day, y'all.
Judy

Hi Everyone...
SJ...How great that you are feeling pretty good today. Thanks so much for the enlightening explanation of the St. John River... I am looking at the map as I type. I had no idea that New Brunswick is a direct neighbor with Maine and Nova Scotia for that matter. I need to brush up on my geography...With so many Nesters from Canada, I sure am getting to know the country better than I ever did. How exciting to see not one, but 5 eagles flying and for so long and then to see it catch a fish. WOWser! I am a big juicer myself, especially when I am feeling "icky" or "sick", or am doing a cleanse. Been doing it for many years. I am so excited for you that you have found (what I feel) the best possible way to obtain nutrients ... and makes for speedy healing. The veggies look so colorful and yummy!!! I just started sprouting last year...and it is so much fun to watch your own "stuff" grow right before your eyes. Sprouted sunflower seeds are so yummy... I could go on and on about juicing, but will control myself...
John...How great to have two nests so close to home. Have the chicks fledged yet? Hopefully you will be seeing them flying around real soon. Hope your dentist visit was clean...
Debs...Yay for the rain... Here is hoping the rain has helped get those nasty fires under control. Bev is right on, you should get a hummer feeder and maybe that will attract the little cuties. I thought it was an elk... but the face was hidden. Thanks for the cool moosey picture. I have seen many an elk live, but never a moose. Adam Lambert would be a perfect Amer. Idol judge... hard to imagine he has time for it though. The doves have so many great nesting choices so I don't know why this pair is choosing some vulnerable spots. There are doves all over the place so maybe it is because of territory issues. The chicks are too cute sitting up in the nest.
Bev...Is the hummingbird moth really a true moth? Or really a true hummingbird? Great pictures of it in your flowers. How fun playing in the woods with your grandsons... I bet they loved seeing those tall ships in the harbor. Absolutely gorgeous pictures of the ships...When I was young, my grandpa owned a big ole(55 foot) sail boat and I spent a lot of time sailing in Lake Erie. Love Peggy's Cove. I have never seen a magnolia so full of beautiful blooms. Gorgeous.
Elle...Love the Sidney pictures. Thanks!!!
Lonette...I can imagine how exciting the Annual Business Meeting is; so have a blast. LOL
Marg...You're funny! WOW..great pictures of the gravel ship, especially the one with the two eagles perched in the tree. Thanks for the link re: HWF "Number 2" article by JudyB.
Kay...Love the beautfiul wing of the fledgling preening.
Have a happy day....
