Hello Nester Buds - The lost has been found if only for a moment.
First, I missed Ma's birthday! I am SO sorry and I hope it was a happy one.
Debs - I do hope your brother does well and that the treatment works wonderfully. Thank you for all the pics and for saving the baby doggie.
SJ - I hope you are doing very well.
Bev - love the humming bird babies. They grow up so fast. Blink and they fledge!
ED, Kay, Jwinx, Diana, Judy, Judy, Judy (LOL) and all who stop and perch here everyday, I do miss all of you.
Quick update. I'm packing up right now to head to Grand Rapids, MI for our Annual Business Meeting. Will be there Monday - Thursday; leaving the office here shortly to get last minute things done and then on home. Will take Abby to the vet for her last shots on Saturday morning, drop her off, do a Wally World travel run and home to pack. Car picks me up at (gulp) 4:15 a.m. Monday for a 6 a.m. flight. Who booked THAT? Oh - it was me. Anyway, trying to determine whether I should just do an all-nighter and then sleep on the plane. I don't have to get up early on Tuesday, so that will be good.
Update on me: My echo came back normal. I'm done with the maiden. I've had my stress test - ah - THAT's where they found the irregular rapid heart beat. All I had to do is change meds. They are working great except for the swelling of feet and ankles side effects. Just got the all clear to travel to the meeting today, so phew!
Cousin John is doing great. Making great strides all of the time. Is in a wheel chair now, able to hold his own cup to drink, is almost feeding himself completely and is being helped to "walk" by a big ol' machine and a lot of specialists. We have talons and pseudo thumbs crossed that he will be moved from the hospital to a wonderful cognitive therapy center in Dallas. Awaiting word if they will accept him. He was evaluated yesterday. His doctors are convinced that type of therapy will really help him make the strides of brain to body communication. He's not paralyzed - he just can't get the messages to his limbs and torso to move. The center focuses on "younger" people working to get back to work, etc. John is retired BUT has his own insurance and is not on Medicare and he's only 63. I told them to tell the Center that I was holding a job for him here if that would help.
I actually got to talk to John earlier this week. He said Hi and Love You! Awesome!
OK - I wanted you to know I'm alive and well. I'm going to put on all of my auto-replies and change my volcemail - shut down ye ol' computer - and head out.
Take care everyone!!!!
I BELIEVE!!!

Good Friday the 13th Nesters
Sending everyone a bright sunny greeting.

I can't believe that the last time I posted here was Tues. evening The time certainly does fly by; blink and it's the next day already
We had thunder, lightning and pelting rain through the night last night and the sky looked very dark and threatening this morning It looks better now so I'll head out to the grocery store soon to purchase salad fixins for the family BBQ at my youngest son's place tomorrow. Family gatherings are always so much fun
We spent 3 hours yesterday afternoon with Ed (edkeagle) and his wife Pat, who were on a cruise coming back from Alaska. Their ship stopped here before heading on to Seattle where they disembarked. They didn't have very nice weather and Ed said the beautiful sunny day we had here yesterday was the best weather they had on the cruise. We went to a quaint little tearoom for coffee and a chat, then we took them to Beacon Hill Park. There were fledgling great blue herons everywhere There are so many nests now all around the park and they make such a mess but the young ones are hilarious to watch. Here's Henry, the resident heron, who didn't make an appearance in his tree until just before we left the park. He was very busy preening.

Here's one of the fledglings who was flying back and forth across the lake.

Ma I'm glad to hear you had a wonderful birthday celebration here in Victoria. Too bad you didn't have more time here; we could have spent some time together.
Diana we certainly had a wonderful time at our very first FF in 2007 and met a lot of very nice eagle lovers Wow, I forget how tall David is and then I see a picture of him with me in it and realize how short I am
Debs you certainly had an unexpected but very cute visitor for a couple of days Kenny Bob was a very lucky dog to have been found by you and he is so cute Wow your photos sure show the smoky haze in your area; I hope the fires are under control now Keeping my that your brother's chemo works. Love the cabin you stayed in in Jasper for your niece's wedding. PP looks so cute with her Grandpa and your little Gr-niece Brooklyn looks like she is having the time of her life, all dressed up with her nails painted. The bride and her attendants all looked beautiful. I always happy tears at a wedding. Hope you get away on your outing and get some good pics of the eagles
Lonette nice to hear from you. Boy, am I glad I'm retired; it makes me tired reading all the 'stuff' you have to do just to go to a meeting Glad to hear your cousin is doing so well and your echo was normal; happy to hear the problem with your heart is being corrected with a change in meds I hope the issue with your feet and ankles swelling doesn't cause you any problems on the plane.
SJ we miss you here on your perch So happy to hear your appt. went well
Well, it's time to get out to the grocery store. Have a good rest of your Friday Nesters and wishing everyone a wonderful weekend, just in case I don't get back here
