some year, I want to come north to SEE them......they are of course related to "our azaleas" but the heat/humidity and lack of winter dont sustain Rhodies in the deep south. I am annually surprised (how silly is that!!) at how much they look like our azaleas!!! however, yours just opened there, and mine have been "done" for over a month!!!

Thank you Jwnix... Our Azaleas didn't start to bloom here yet .. the Rhodo's do indeed resemble them ..some of the other Rhodo's are starting to bloom also..but will wait a few days until the whole plant is in full bloom.. the yellow one is beautiful... the one i posted today was a smaller Rhodo...

True and Azaleas have one blossom per stem..where Rhodo's have blossom clusters..
