Update on Judy & Steve

Chemo #5 is history...as always Judy kicked some serious butt today After her chemo was over she visited Steve and they had a nice visit. Tonight is the night Judy has to take her meds every 2 hours thoroughout the night so poor Judy will not get much sleep tonight.

Sad news at the Two Harbor's nest ...last night a fox entered the nest and took the lone chick out of the nest; neither parent was in the nest protecting the chick, which is unusal. Mom was missing but has since returned to the empty nest. A heartbreaking event and I was completely devastated for Mom and Dad Two Harbors ....as you know I have watched the CI eagle families since day one. Nature is just so cruel at times....just so unfair. I decided to take a break from the forum today.

Hi Debs, Nature is harsh and we wouldn't even know about the sad events happening except for the cams. They show us the wonders and the unfortunate things that can occur! So, if we are going to watch them, then the cams will catch the less than pleasant side, unfortunately! It bothers me too!

Bev, I spoke too soon- I scalped the lawn in a couple of spots. But, it will grow back in a few days!

SJ had a rough night up every two hours to take those important meds that keep the bad side effects from chemo away. Judy will now be at the hospital visiting the light of her life Steve

SJ So hard to believe in the past two years you have had 25 radiation treatments, and 29 Chemo treatments – and counting. Yep you the master at kicking butt yep yep yep. Whatever...you face ....you face head on and always with positive determination and we are so very proud of you ....yeppers you are the Master at Rock and Kicking Butt Hope you and Steve enjoy your afternoon sending you all lots of sunshine ; an upsized Tims along with all of our love here.

Grizz Loved your email last night ....thank you....and we are so happy to hear you actually enjoyed your first cup of real "Tims'" ...now are you hooked enquiring minds really want to know ......nothing beats our Tims

John Thanks for getting the Tims on the go this morning; I am so loving it ... tasting mighty fine after the Pens/Flyers game last night Now onto the next game on Sunday afternoon...speaking of Sunday...Van plays Sunday too will be a great day for us die hard hockey fans lots of action to enjoy

Bev Two Harbors was one nest I was not worried about :no:....the parents have always been so protective and with one chick I expected all to go well; I watched everyday along with the other CI nests and never expected any problems there .... Mom's absence of 36 hours obviously was a factor in all of this....nature is unpredictable ... really upset me....but its not the fox's fault either...he likely had a family to feed too.....tis the life cycle but sad just the same.

Been thinking about spring and planning my next adventure north...to check on the nests up in the NWT....will be going soon...just have to wait for it to dry up a wee bit more....will keep you all posted.
