Good morning Nesters!!

I haven't been here much the past few days. Thanks to everyone for your concerns and wishes for my sick son. He had another CT scan on Sunday evening and when the nurse gave him an update yesterday morning she said the abscess had grown and his white blood count had gone up again. The specialist came in while I was there yesterday afternoon and showed us the scan and explained why he would have to do surgery to try to suction out the pus that was inbetween his vocal cords and his spinal column. He said he would try to do it through a small incision in the back of his throat but if that didn't work he would have to make an incision in the side of his neck. He was scheduled to have the surgery at 8pm last night and before I left the hospital I gave the nurse my phone # and asked if someone would call me when he got back to his room. I finally called the hospital at 11:15pm and after talking with 3 nurses who didn't know what was happening, I finally got one who said he hadn't come back to the ward. I told her I still wanted someone to call me when he got back and at 12:15pm my son called with good news. He had just come back to his room and said the doctor was able to clean out the abscess through his throat Phew He said he hoped there would be a chocolate milkshake waiting for him when he woke up this morning Grin I talked to him earlier this morning and although he has a tube in his nose he sounded quite chipper, even though he didn't sleep much last night. He is still getting IV fluids and antibiotics and we won't know how much longer he'll have to stay until the specialist sees him today. I have to go to the lab for blood work and then to have an X-Ray on my thumb & wrist today before going to the hospital Roll eyes

I actually had a bit of time to go to Esquimalt Lagoon on Sunday after brekkie and saw both the eagles flying and perching; I have posted a few pics on the Royal Roads University Eagles thread. I also had some time yesterday after my doctor's appt. and before going to the hospital to get down to Saxe Pt. Park and saw both the eagles perched in the nest tree. Pics posted on the Saxe Pt. Park Eagles thread.

Sending hugs to our Judy/sj and hoping her health is improving so she can go home soon hug

Debs many thanks for keeping us updated on Judy's health hug What on earth was that doctor thinking to cancel her injections without consulting the other doctor Oh the shame The eage in the Blingee card I made for your birthday greeting is Pa. I actually submitted that picture to the Island Tides publication and they printed it. The editor had asked for a bit of history, which I provided, and they printed the incorrect info. I contacted her and they printed a correction in the next issue. It was so nice to see so many birthday messages for you and I hope you had a spectacular day hug

Bev Phoebe's chicks are getting so big they don't fit in the nest Oh My It is absolutely astounding how quickly they grow Wooh I have recorded a few videos the past few days and you can see them by clicking the link in my signature line.

Lonette I love your cards Grin So sad about the BW eagle chicks Cry It will be interesting to watch the adults to see if they will continue to mate and lay a 2nd clutch. It did happen at the Norfolk nest fingers crossed

Diana nice to see you here offering all your goodies hug Sorry you have had to work such long hours Sad I hope you will get some time to yourself soon.

John glad you are still enjoying your walks Right thumb up

Sorry I haven't had time to catch up on all the news; sending hugs to everyone hug

Have a wonderful day Nesters!!

Kay Thanks so much for the update on your son Wub we were all worried and pacing along side of you hug So glad they were able to clean and drain the abscess without having to use another incision to access the area. Those infections can be very scaree and can even travel up to the brain!! I had the same thing as a teenager Sad and I have a long scar that is visible on the side of my jaw; they had to make a long incision and insert a drain as well I was in hospital for three weeks I remember it well and the Dr's told my Mom I nearly died the infection was so severe; my right side of my face and throat was triple the normal size. Two months later they took out my tonsils and adnoids too Phew and I have not had any severe infections like that since. You son Red Heart will likely heal much quicker now Phew ....since they have cleaned and drained that abscess; we will be stormin heaven for his speedy recovery now hug

John Walking is the best exercise Whistling and you can do it anywhere Clapping; I bet you enjoy your walks and surrounded by all that beautiful scenery too must be mighty awesome yep yep yep I love to walk too Clapping Thanks for getting the doggies, roadie and our magical sled going again this morning Phew I was running a wee bit late Oh the shame I think I could actually use a third cup Mug of coffee today.....so hang onto your hats Whistling ....here come our doggies Click on image to download roadie Click on image to download and our magical sleigh Click on image to download again with all of our favorite "must have treats" so time to kick back Nester Buds and enjoy your afternoon tweets Very Happy

Lonette Love the capture of Roadie love standing beside those boxing gloves Rolling on floor laughing and all those unsuspecting caregivers Oh My Wink Shh ........ we just love it when "pigs fly" Rolling on floor laughing

Bev I agree out HC system needs a real shake up .... all across our great country Don't Panic .... Chin sometimes I wonder Nodding if the older model was better Chin ...I get really upset when I hear that some seniors do not even get their proper meds Rant they do not fill the prescriptions because they cannot afford it...their meds should be free Phew fully covered for all seniors afterall they built this country Clapping

Vicki Nice to see you here perched Sitting eagle here today and thank you....hubby pampered me as always hug we stayed in as I am laying low right now pampering me back so all is well Clapping we had a beautiful supper and a nice evening. Hi Nesters!Smile

Debs, thanks for the update on SJ (Judy) . I hope the docs get a better communication system there.Mad What happened to Judy is a given here in the States now too. How times have changed.Faint

Judy, thinking of you and pray you will be out of that hospital bed soon and back at home where you belong. fingers crossed You are such good friend, beautiful in every way. Wub We miss you and love you so much, dear friend. hugPrayer candles going and all of us are sending positive energy, hope and so much love. Our Musketeer and our inspiration.love

Hope your back is doing better today, Debs. You were such a help when I had the same problem in Canada. It can certainly spoil your day, but you had some time to take it easy, I hope.

Hey Chip, good to see you on your perch! Flowers blooming in your back yard?

Bev, are you feeling better? Sure hope so. Missing your beautiful personality. Computers did have a “barney”, now more a “Hiccup” an improvement Titter

Diana, missing you my friend. loveYour hours at work are really tough! Will try to ring you. Just don’t know what shift you may be on.Puzzled

Elle, thanks for the link to the Sidney photos and the info. Every little of bit of info about the Sidney family and Hornby is a delight.

Lonette, will be going over to BW to check what’s happening.

ED, we have taken to your walks. Feel great. Also put ourselves on a diet. No sugar, no processed food of any kind. Both of us have droppedf some pounds. I do miss my chocolate, but not bad enough to go back to it.

Kay, what an ordeal you have been though! Great news about a good outcome. Very HappyNot so great you had to wait for someone to call you. Here it isn’t going to happen. Soundsa like all is going to be fine now.fingers crossed Milkshake, definitely! happy Off to check out the snappies.

Hugs, Judehug

Evening Nesters wave

Jude wave Great to see you perched today Very Happy I hope you had a "mejammy day" so you could kick back and do some chillaxin yep yep yep. Yep I agree our healthcare systems are a mess both north and south of the border Faint; most people cannot even get a family doctor...its such a shame!!! Thanks I am actually in bed as we speak with Mr Heat and have now got a bad case of the flu...it just snuck up on me Faint so hubby making me lemon tea to help my throat...I hate being sick Rant Bash computer Rant!

Update on SJ Judy

Click on image to download I just spoke to Judy Wubabit ago and she sounds absolutely fantastic Click on image to download Click on image to download Click on image to download Unfortunately, her Dr did not visit today Puzzled so Judy did not find out too much today & they withheld the Immunity Booster medication yet again; so Judy is not sure if they are waiting a day to see if her White Blood count recovers Don't Know before they re-test her blood again to determine if she needs that medication or not. So another day in the dark without answers likely abit frustrating as Judy would prefer to be home since she feels so good Whistling Judy did find out that her hemoglobin is way back up there .....Click on image to download post transfusion so that is reason to celebrate Click on image to download Man oh man was great to heard Judy chopping at the bit to go home ~~~ that speaks volumes to me. So hopefully tomorrow she can go home (her WBC must be 2 or higher) fingers crossed talons crossed yep yep yep. Judy sends her loveRed Heart to you all hug and says she cannot wait to be back on her perch again...hopefully soon!!!

SJ We are keeping you close Red Heart snug as a bug as always Whistling and your entire team here Wub is stormin heaven tonight that you will be home by this time tomorrow yep yep yep Click on image to download Click on image to download Click on image to download
