For those of you that do not know this; SJ Judy ... one of our very own founding members of Nesters' is a very talented Author
Judy has actually written a book and many other short stories and articles over the years. Her book she crafted while nesting with us and we were thrilled and happy to be able to support Judy while she wrote her book! Although her search for an Agent is ongoing we relish and look forward to the day her book will be published
In the early part of this year it looked like we would be closing this Nesters thread and starting a new thread; this prompted alot of discussion behind the scenes and although we always welcome change we really did not want to leave our home here. We have shared many great times here at Nesters; grown as a family enjoyed many belly laughs and supported and loved each other thorough some tough times as well. Our friendship extends far beyond the forum and many of us correspond daily via email, text or phone we truely are friends.
Over the years we have moved a few times & part of our reluctancetto move stems back to 2006 when our original Nester history was lost. However, putting that aside and forward thinking we prepared for the move and while doing so we discussed and revisited our Nesters history and we pulled out the memory trunk and looked at now and then. We had alot of fun reflecting and it really emphasised our much we treasure our friendships here at Nesters.
During this stroll down memory lane ..... we decided we wanted to stay put so we worked together as a team to make that happen. We also decided it was time to do some new collages and update our introductory page (a work in progress) and it was during this time frame that Judy offered to share her craft and talent with us and write a poem to honor our friendships here and we immediately accepted her kind offer !
This is Judy's beautiful poem
REVERIE © Judith L. Cronk
Silence fills the air around her
Lost in waking dreams is she
Hearing not the surf that crashes
On the rocks where waves abound.
Tidal pools fill every crevice
Of the rock on which she sits
Unaware of seagulls crying
Their lament to all around.
Here is where she comes to ponder
Life and all it sends to her
Good and bad, in equal portions
So it seems to her this day.
Staring out at sparkling waters
Rivulets that reach her toes
Deep in thought, her soul can wonder
How it is she finds her way.
Thoughts of friends pervade her memory
Past and present intertwine
Near and far acquaintance lingers
All endure, she loves each one.
East to West their talents showing
North to South reveals the truth
Feelings meant to last forever
Nothing e’er will come undone.
Cherishing these warm emotions
Brought within to soothe her mind
Friends like these are ne’er forgotten
In her heart she knows it true.
Such is life, if fortune blesses
Long time spent in happiness
Life, she knows, is what you make it
Constancy remains anew.
Now the crimson sky’s reflections
Cast a shadow on her smile
Knowing in her deepest insight
Never will she feel alone.
Walking on the rocky seashore
Tears of gladness fill her eyes
For she senses all continue
Friendships ever carved in stone.

GM Nesters:
My first post disappeared, so this may or may not work. Being on an air card presents a big problem. Slow as Christmas. Must go check settings.
BB soon
