Hello Great news Larry! Left thumb up Marg (Sunshine Coast) can see through her telescope that our eaglet is as big as Ma and Pa but we still have only seen a grey and now brown head just over the stick rail. That only through zooming into pictures of the nest, not to the naked eye. I did see a wing flop up and down recently. It will get better! Great to confirm that the eaglet is up there though.
It was nice to meet you, daughter and Dawn last Sat.

There are 2!

You are right Larry as they are difficult to see even with my perches. I was down there around 12:30 today. From what I can tell there are 2 in the nest.

I took the first 2 images looking east as I was on the Peco deck looking at the nest and you can see there is clearly 1 off to the left and she is feeding the other 1 from what I can tell.

I went to my second perch and spent 20 mins hoping for a better glimpse but by the time I got over there she had finished and settled in to the nest. I then went to another spot about 20 feet higher that allows me to look down into the nest but not with the same view as my second perch but got better glimpses of the 1 she had been feeding just down in front of her

I am going to try and get down there tomorrow again and see of I can get any better glimpse hopefully around the same time that they feed.

Hi all,

I manage to get down to Rocky Point looking to see if Urban Eagle was around and ran into a long time work mate and his partner. She was taking pictures with her camera and they told me that I had just missed Pa bring fresh food to the nest. So I quickly headed off to my perches and managed to only get 3 pictures. Out of the 3 pictures 2 confirm there they have a pair of young so that is good news as well.

I got these looking east towards the nest from the Peco deck.

Lovely, Sawrat
That looks a nice shady nest there - it wont be long brfore the chicks become more visible!
I can't wait to see if they end up using the oher tree for a feeding platform!

Thank you kindly for keeping us in the picture Smile

Wonderful pictures of the two little fuzzballs, Sawrat! It is a shame the eagles didn't choose the nest with the camera - and it's great that you and Larry are able to keep an eye on them in their new location!

Hi all,

Been busy so not much time to monitor the youngsters but after work I did manage to get a picture of one of them. I think the other one was further back in the nest as Ma kept looking back there. Because the nest sort of slopes down from East to west I seem to get better pictures or at least glimpses of the young looking eat towards the nest from the Peco Deck.

If you look at the first image you will see Pa is well hidden in the tree and I did not really see him until he flew out of the tree. I will post them next.
