Hi all,

well out of the 250 pictures I took of various spots to see the nest still no sign of any young or as Urban eagle aptly puts it....no bobble heads.

Pa was out on the water earlier this morning sitting on the branch that our guys out there for them to roost and on the perch pole for a time as well after a swap.

It must have been getting warm in the nest at 2:30 today as she looked pretty hot and restless

Well we went to dinner at the Boathouse Restaurant on Wednesday evening, (yes during the hockey game but saw the goal at the end so didn't miss much), and where we were sitting was right at the supports for the windows, although there is little one can see through all the bushes! They have grown so tall since we last ate there! Needless to say, while we were providing some entertainment during the meal around the subject of eagles, (I let DH do the talking), we didn't see a single sign of either eagle throughout the meal and speeches. Two couples came out with us afterward to see the nest, but without those great camera lenses there wasn't much to see in the dusk other than a lump in the trees. Not a single sign of activity among the bird population at all because the weather was so poor.

Shouldn't the Port Moody eggs have hatched by now if there are any? Was the previous nest fruitful? We have next week off and relatives coming over so may head over to Rocky Point in the hopes of some better entertainment than what we had from the eagles Wednesday night, but I am beginning to wonder if perhaps we have another dud nest? If so that will be so very sad, although there was discussion about other nests in the area that will hopefully have more luck. Don't Know

wave Freinds of these Eagles,I was at the point this afternoon with still no confirmation of an eaglet, but all signs still look good Ma still high in the nest pretty much standing,It was just a guess on my part as to when we noticed the eagles constantly being on the nest and incubating anding on are 35 to 37 days,so yes they should have hatched and it's just a matter of time before they show. I'm hoping either sawrat or myself will get a pic by the weekend

Hopefully you didn't get sunburned while down there? It is great to know there is some life in that nest. Thanks for posting.
