Hi marjy2u
The video is me at the nest height about 60 feet away looking northerly. You see Ioco Road in the background with the traffic across the inlet. I was using my daughters camera that does video. I have a video camera but it does not allow me to do the video in a format that is easily converted on the computer.
The workers you see in the picture are about 45 feet from the eagle. He/She will sit there while logs are loaded and sometimes turned before leaving. We are a lucky few who get this kind of a treat when we are at work.
Cheers

Yes you are lucky. Unfortunately I can understand why the mill would be uninterested in investing time or anything on a new camera when this pair has been fickle about where they want to nest.
At first I made the mistake of thinking that was the Barnet behind the nest until I realized that I would also be seeing sulphur piles, houses, and whatever if that were the case. One doesn't expect you to be viewing from the angle you do, sawrat - very disorienting.

haha - I agree with Pat ... wondered where the sulphur piles were!! LOL Ioco Rd looks so close in the video - hardly appears to be across the inlet!! LOL You must be right around the top of the chip pile there or closer to the fence by the parking lot.
Again, thanks so much!

Sawrat,Nice perch, Hope you are wearing your harness my freind .Just a reminder of the Fingerling festival @ the Pt. Moody rec. center this Sat.
I was at the point at 11am today and found Ma on the nest.Got a few pic's of Her getting up for a wing stretch and a squirt and hunker back down. It wasn't until 12:30 when Pa finally arrived and landed on this branch just outside the nest. After this pic I went to video for the swap will post if it ever finish's downloading.
( Is UTube always this long or I'm I doing something wrong?) Just a few more weeks with telons crossed will have eaglets.

Larry

Larry,
YouTube usually does not take long but if you uploading directly from the camera and not your hard drive it can/will take time. Usually I download it to my computer then upload it to YouTube. I look forward to seeing the video

That is some perch, sawrat! I admit it has occurred to me that I'd get a better look at our local eagle and osprey nests from the top of the neighboring bridge than from the sidewalk, but....
And nice picture of them incubating their egg(s), Larry. I'm happy that they're doing well (though it is a shame they aren't using the nice nest with the cam!).
Thanks for keeping us up to date with this pair.
