Your pictures re a real eye opener for me, Larry. All I ever see are huge heaps of sulphur when driving by the area. I had no idea that there was such a beautiful and wildlife rich area hidden behind all that sulphur!!

Alan and I stopped by today to check out the vantage point on Clarke street. The nest was easy to see but alas no one was around. We were there for about 10-15 minutes between 4:30 & 5:00PM It's a pity the fence is so high but not unexpected.

Do you know how busy that parking lot is during the day?

Hi ,TERRY and freinds of this nest ...Well It's offical The port Moddy Eagles have come home At least one of them !
Richards two(2) pic's In the port moddy media gallery of the cam's on wed look great Espeacialy with an Eagle at the nestVery Happy
I saw what i asume to be the same eagle perchhed in a tree top just before the Barnett marine park on wed. morning around 10:30 on my way back to downtownGrin Think it's time to start packing the camera againWooh
Terry I like the veiw From the west side of St.Johns ambulance, theres an empty lot on there west side with a perfect veiw of the nest plus easy access to the empty lot and I just park on the street. Have been down to the nest every day since sighting on Wed. but have hade no luck Just a few pic's of the activity in the inletClapping

Oh the shame Well now... We were on the east side. It was the 1st empty lot we came to as we drove west on Clarke. We will look for the lot on the other side of the St.john's Amb. next time

Just a cautionary note - we lost one of the cameras last night in the wind storm. The "North" looking camera (view of the rail line and Port Moody) went offline about 11PM last night. The 5 minute still images showed fairly large movement in the tree.

At the same time, the IR lights moved (beside the other camera) - no longer directly focussed on the nest but are off to the left somewhat.

The problem MAY be in the equipment at ground level - will find out tomorrow, but don't hold your breath.

David says, since the eagles are in the area there is no way we can do an emergency lift to look at the camera, so if it's dead, it will remain that way until next September or so.

I'll see about publishing the "final" images from the camera in the next day or two.
