LL sure is a soggy "big and beautiful" today. Even though the forecast predicts rain all day long, I'm hoping for a tinsy bit of sun sometime during the day. No reprieve yet though.

1:13 pm,
LL is looking at us like, "Can't you do something?".

2:04 pm,
LL is alone on the nest. Looks like a few rays are getting through the overcast sky.

3:54 pm,
LL: "When Dad comes back to the nest and he does not have food for me, then I usually turn my back on him and pout."


LL: "Dad, are you sure you don't have something for me?"


LL: I'm tired because I have been standing for several hours letting the rain drip off my feathers."

Awww....

I see the egg'let is still there - rather amazing considering that it's at least 11 weeks old at this point.

I am thinking that LL might be female - she's already looking at least as big as Dad, and I don't think she's quite got her full growth. What do you think?

Yes, it is amazing that the "egg'let" is still there. It's encouraging to think that the egg shell may be quite hard; perhaps a good sign of less pollutants in the eagle environment (ours too). Hope so anyway....
