It's started to snow again...
Not sure what that is next to the parent -- I wasn't watching when it was brought in....

wave MystCat,

While I was watching, it looked to me like what is next to Lady O is just nest fluff. She was pulling it closer to her and tucking it in around her. Don't Know

Hi CAL04 wave

Thanks! I first saw this nest last year when the eaglet was older....I've never seen eagles brooding eggs in such heavy snow!
My fingers are crossed, and hoping the best! Nodding

wave MystCat,

Deschutes is famous for a snowy nest. As Soph9 once explained, the snow does provide a certain amount of insulation from the cold. Does not look like much fun sitting up there in the freezer though. We always hope they'll be okay and be able to keep the nest warm and dry. They are really good at coping with their "weathered" nest - just hard for us to watch sometimes.

9:52 pm,
Looks like Lady "O" is keeping her nose warm tonight. Titter
