3:39 pm
Up for a careful shake, rolled the eggs (still a nice bare area around them) and settled back down.

~ ~ ~

around 4:40 pm (note that cam is showing eastern time - nest time is 3 hours earlier)
Refreshed to find the adult standing at the back of the nest, at least one egg clearly visible in its little patch of brown (I think both eggs, but hard to tell as they were next to each other).

Adult flew off - eggs uncovered for about 2 minutes (and not much longer, I was watching a minute or so earlier).

I think the other adult came in, and settled in to incubate - and my guess is that this was a switch from Dad Cascade back to Mom Lady O - but I'm not sure.

Lady O is trying to cope with a winter storm; wind gusts to 40 mph and blowing snow. Sad

What a pitiful sight....poor parents. I don't think I've ever seen a nest that gets this much snow ever Oh My

Parents are sure troopers though and have stayed incubating through some of the worst snowfalls, still just blows me away seeing the parent totally covered in snow Sad

Looks like parent would stand on her/his head, if necessary, to keep the brood patch where it needs to be. Left thumb up
